Red Clover Herbal Loose Tea
Red Clover Herbal Tea
Delicate, mildly sweet, and gently grassy, red clover tea has a soft floral flavor with subtle honey-like notes and a light herbal finish. Red clover is naturally rich in isoflavones, plant compounds with estrogen-like activity, and has traditionally been used to support menopausal wellness, including occasional hot flashes and night sweats. It is also traditionally associated with bone and cardiovascular wellness, although research on its effectiveness for these conditions remains mixed.
Best Preparation: Add 1–2 teaspoons of dried red clover blossoms to a cup of freshly boiled water. Cover and steep for 5–10 minutes, then strain and enjoy warm or chilled. Add a little honey or lemon for a refreshing floral infusion.
Note: Because red clover contains compounds with estrogen-like activity and may affect blood clotting, people taking blood-thinning medication, hormone-sensitive medications, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a healthcare professional before using it regularly.
