Euphrasia Eyebright Herbal Loose Tea
Euphrasia (Eyebright) Herbal Loose Tea
Mild, earthy, and slightly bitter, Euphrasia (Eyebright) tea has a distinctive herbal flavor with subtle grassy and astringent notes. Eyebright has a long history of traditional use for eye and respiratory wellness, including occasional use for minor eye irritation, allergies, and congestion.
Best Preparation: Add 1–2 teaspoons of dried Euphrasia herb to a cup of freshly boiled water. Cover and steep for 5–10 minutes, then strain thoroughly and enjoy warm. Its naturally bitter flavor can be softened with a little honey or blended with mild herbs such as chamomile or peppermint.
Important: Eyebright tea is intended for drinking, not for use as an eye wash or eye drops. Homemade herbal preparations placed in the eyes can introduce bacteria and potentially cause serious eye infections.
